This album comes in two CDs in a beautiful digipack. Cover art includes a poster with Alex Ogoltely portrait on one side and a 'Narodnoye Opolchenie' newspaper on the other. The texts and articles of the newspaper is a track-by-track 'analytic' explication of the punk opera Novogodie, written in a typical style reminding about the Soviet era journalist's or music critic's writing. CD1 is original album. CD2 is a compilation of outtakes and early versions of songs recorded in a jam session on the 1985 New Years Eve.

Recorded and released on 6mm tape in 1985. This album has never been re-released ever since until the 2017 when Begemotion Studio did remastering of master-tapes. This digital release contains of all 14 tracks off the original album plus all outtakes and various versions of songs.

In 2017 Maschina Records released 2CDs digipack supplied with amazing art-work and a poster full of photographs, explication and lyrics. It's a definitely gorgeous thing worth being a part of your collection.

Alex Ogoltely and Feddy Begemot were the only songwriters on Novogodie, the punk opera.

Georgy 'Gustav' Gurianov who played drums on most tracks of Novogodie, joined the new wave band Kino later in the 1985, and then became a world known artist.
