Art Brute - meets - Free Jazz - meets - Post Punk

This 5th album by Narodnoye Opolchenie was recorded on 6mm monophonic tape recorder and released in few tape copies in 1984, straight after two fellow bands

Narodnoye Opolchenie (NO/Peoples Army) and Otdel Samoiskoreneniia (OS/DS) were prosecuted by the KGB. This depressive moment in history of Leningrad's punk rock was lit by few avantguarde-punk-jazz-disco records made at Begemotion Records (my home studio) among which "Crazy Day" was the first step aside anarcho-punk, anti-war and political content, first try of new styles and new ways of production. The whole album was recorded in couple of sessions, fully live. All lyrics were written by Alex Ogoltely, music was sketched by Feddy Begemot. Some riffs, beats, compositions were shown to musicians, quickly practised (never till the end) and recorded straight "from the air". Improvisations were required from everyone, no matter their skills. Some guest musicians were invited to play with NO. Among whom was well-known jazz-rock guitar player Andrey Otryaskin (Joungli) who played bass for couple of tracks.

All tracks restored and remastered by Feddy Lavrov in 2016.
This is the very first ready-to-release album from more than 10 albums anthology of NO to be remastered.
